Fighting For Our Homes: “Billions of dollars to the banks, yet we’re the ones that are homeless.”

I have a question... Why are homeowners getting special treatment? I'm a renter in los angeles.. If i don't pay my rent.... my landlord kicks me out of my apartment!? I don't hear sob stories about renters woes... I've been priced out of the market in Los Angeles for 7 years now... This drop in housing prices is actually enabling the "American Dream" for all the patient renters of the world. I have empathy for people losing their homes... But home prices rose to absurd levels... They NEEDED to fall... And still need to fall more... Stopping foreclosures will only delay the pain.

I have seen many of your videos and like and support them. Your housing video was uncompelling becasue your characters didn't even appear to be creditable. Come on, all you could find was a paralegal with weird hair????

    Thank you

    nice little documentary, as usual.
but there's one thing that is not said: how did the lady lose her home? what kind of mortgage (or mortgauge) did she have?
I've been looking in the media -traditional and alternative- for the last five months for these -I would say- vital pieces of information, maybe in the form of tables, graphs, stats rather than opinions and I mean:
what was the most common reason for default?
what was the most common scam?
what was the percentage of defaults related to lender's fraud and the one of borrower's fraud? (I'd like to know this one in particular, as republicans keep on blaming the whole thing on "irresponsible home-owners" who defrauded all these poor, poor banks...)
what are the percentages of defaults by home-owners and developers/house-flippers?
how did the mortgauge brokers made their profits?
can you direct me to some site providing this info and tell me why I couldn't see it around?

You have my support all the way. Too sad to say that your the one who is suffering instead of the company. The economy is slowly recovering I just hope everything will be fine and be back to normal.

It seems that real estate fraud is bigger then authorities.
    Just my opinion.
